Our Founders

The practice is proudly owned and operated as a family-run establishment by husband and wife, Andy and Rachel. With Rachel’s expertise as an oral surgeon, she is readily available to offer invaluable guidance to the team. Meanwhile, Andy diligently oversees the business operations of the practice and serves as the CEO of Dentaid, a notable dental charity. Together, they bring a unique blend of professional skill and compassionate care to every aspect of the practice.

Rachel Evans DBS, MFDS, MSurgDent

Meet Rachel, the owner of both HFD & CFD, she is our oral surgeon at the practice. She treats more complex extractions and places implants. She also works at Southampton General Hospital as a Speciality Dentist within the Maxillo Facial department. She has completed an implant diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons and has been placing implants for over 17 years.
Raquel Valentim LMD

Meet Raquel, she is an experienced general dentist, who will make you feel relaxed and comfortable during your visit. She is very passionate about dentistry in general and provides a calming and positive environment. Raquel has received further training in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. You'll be able to talk to her about tooth alignment, whitening, smile makeovers, facial aesthetics among others.
Lauren Holmes BDS

Meet Lauren, she enjoys helping even the most nervous patients feel as comfortable as possible during their treatments. She enjoys health care dentistry and helping you have confidence in your teeth and smile again and has had many happy patients over the last few years who have felt very well looked after by Lauren. Lauren will always be open and honest with you about all your options and help you make the right decision for you with your dental treatments.
Rebecca Powley BDS

Meet Rebecca, she is Rachel’s twin sister! She joined the team in 2013. Rebecca loves general dentistry and has completed her facial aesthetic training. She thrives on helping all her patients feel comfortable and stress free at the dentist, especially nervous patients. Rebecca used to serve in the Royal Air Force before joining us and had a three-year sabbatical where she travelled to accompany her family on a military posting. She has lots of stories to tell!!! Outside of work she enjoys a family dog walk, running and is currently taking on a new challenge of learning to row.
Sarah Deacon BDS, MFDS, RCPS (Glasg)

Meet Sarah, one of our general dentists who likes providing cosmetic treatment and general dentistry. Sarah grew up in Scotland and qualified from the University of Dundee. After completing her foundation year in Scotland, she made the move to Dorset and started working with us. She has completed many courses in different areas including: facial aesthetics, orthodontics, oral surgery, advanced restorative composites and sedation and is always striving to improve her skills. She has also passed additional examinations to be admitted to The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. She often volunteers with Dentaid too and has previously been involved with dental projects overseas. Anyone is welcome with Sarah; she loves meeting new patients from all different walks of life. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, dancing, hiking, and travelling. Sarah also loves animals and she has a rescue rabbit called Herb!
Shadwala Surendra BDS, MDS, PG restoritve

Meet Shadwala, she has obtained a 3 year post graduate diploma in restorative dentistry from the prestigious E.D.I. She also holds a bachelors and a masters in endodontics when in India. She provides general dental treatments and has a keen interest in root canal treatment and cosmetic dentistry, including composite bonding. Where suitable, she offers Inman aligners to straighten the front teeth. She is passionate about improving quality of life through promoting dental heath. She creates a calm environment, especially for our nervous patients, putting them at ease. Her spare time is spent in long walks, exploring new places, playing badminton & learning the piano.
Agne Aukštikalnienė BDS

Meet Agne has joined us recently in 2024. She has 15 years of experience working as a general dentist. Agne qualified as a dentist in Vilnius University, Lithuania in 2010. In 2011 She has moved to Uk where she has been working in private and NHS dental practices. Agne loves the variety of work in general practice and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, in the clear brace aligner system Invisalign, facial aesthetics such as anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers. Agne is married and has two wonderful children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, travelling, gardening and oil painting.
Klara Mach BSc

Meet Klara, she joined us in 2016. She firmly believes that healthy gums are the foundation of a beautiful and healthy smile. She always strives to educate her patients about the importance of good oral hygiene and the impact it has on their overall health. She takes pride in providing comprehensive periodontal care, and personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Seeing her patients regain their oral health and confidence is the most rewarding aspect of her job. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, reading books, and travelling.
Katarina Oku BSc

Meet Kate, one of our highly skilled Hygienist here at Highcliffe Family Dentistry. Kate is super gentle and amazing with new patients, she enjoys the diversity of patients she meets every day. She loves listening to her patients, caring for them, and tailoring personalised treatment plans that improve their oral health and their confidence to smile. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, outdoor activities like trekking, skiing, gardening, or simply reading a good book.
